U-19 Soccer Success

Spectacular Shinners leads the way!

A man-of-the-match performance from midfield maestro Josh ‘Maxi’ Shinners was the highlight of another impressive win for our under 19 soccer team. St. Paul’s Community College from Waterford city provided the opposition for this FAI quarter final tie in Annacotty. The Croom lads dominated possession in the first half but their supremacy was not reflected on the scoreboard as the visitors took the lead just before the interval.  When play resumed, the ‘Men from the Maigue’ re-asserted their dominance and got their reward when Josh Shinners found himself at the end of an exceptional cross from Kuda Sheehan, finishing expertly to the bottom corner. Super-sub Leon Kirrane provided the moment of the match with a stunning strike from 30 yards that nestled in the top right corner of the Waterford net. There were incredible performances all over the field and once again these lads showed their class against formidable opposition.
