Well done to Form 4 students Nikki Hackett, Abby McNamara and Katelyn Prior who all helped to organise a Transition Year 5km Walk as a fundraiser for Pieta House. With September being Suicide Prevention month, the students felt that it was an important time to raise awareness around mental health and to acknowledge the great work of Pieta House. Pieta House provide a professional one-to-one therapeutic service to people who are in suicidal distress, those who engage in self-harm, and those bereaved by suicide. All of their services are provided free of charge and no referral is needed. A total of €337.90 was raised and a cheque was presented by Nikki and Abby to Pieta House following the event. Well done to all involved!
