Members of the 4th Year Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship had great success this year with their mini company “3D Pics”. The students involved used a 3d printer to create a 3D printed stand and custom picture which used different depths with usb led lights to shine through the dark and light parts to reveal the image. Their customers sent  images to them through social media and they created 3D models, each taking around 12-14 hours to print.

For their efforts they claimed the “Most Commercial Potential Award” at the Student Enterprise Awards and also won the Foróige Regional Competition.  They were placed 20th in the National semi finals which had 5000 entries.

The 2nd year ICE class also finished 2nd in the Intermediate Category with their mini company “Song Art Company”.

A fantastic result for both groups of students!
