Dear Students/Parents

In advance of receiving your Leaving Certificate results this Friday, I would like to extend my heartfelt best wishes to each and every one of you. The hard work, dedication, and passion you have shown throughout your academic journey with us has been commendable, and regardless of the outcome, remember that these results are just one chapter in the vast book of your life. That said, results day is a very significant day for each of you and for us as we are invested in each of you and want you all to do well.

As we approach the release of your Leaving Certificate results, I want to provide you with important information about the arrangements for accessing your results, viewing your examination scripts, and the appeals process. Please read this message carefully to ensure you are fully informed and prepared.

1. Results Release

Date & Time:

  • All Leaving Certificate candidates will have access to their provisional Leaving Certificate results on the Candidate Self Service Portal from 10 AM on Friday 22 August. Candidates can view their results and will also be able to print a statement of their provisional results. 
  • Accessing Results: You can access your results through the Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP). You will also be able to print a statement of your provisional results directly from the portal. https://www.examinations.ie/cssp/2025/

2. Understanding Your Results

  • Component Marks: On Tuesday 26 August, you will have access to Component marks on the CSSP, you will see more detailed information about your results.

3. Viewing Your Examination Scripts

  • Application to View Scripts: Applications to view Leaving Certificate examination scripts must be made by candidates through the Candidate Self Service Portal between 5 PM on Tuesday 26 August and 8 PM on Wednesday 27 August. 
  • Online Viewing: Most scripts will be available to view online. Online viewing in these subjects will be available from 9 AM on Saturday 30 August to 9 AM on Sunday 31 August. 
  • In-Person Viewing: For subjects that were manually marked, or certain components of subjects, you will need to view these scripts in person at the school on Saturday 30 August and candidates will be assigned to one of two viewing sessions as follows; 
  1. Session 1. 9.30 AM – 12.30 PM 
  2. Session 2. 2 PM – 5 PM 

4. Appeals Process

  • Candidates can apply to appeal through the Candidate Self Service Portal. 

From: 10 AM on Sunday 31 August 2025 

To: 5 PM on Monday 1 September 2025. 

5. Support Available

Helplines:

  • The SEC has established a helpline for students. The SEC Candidate helpline will be available at 1800 111 135 or 1800 111 136 from 9 AM to 5 PM from Friday 22 August to Monday 1 September. Outside of these hours queries may be emailed to candidateportal@examinations.ie
  • The National Parents and Students Leaving Certificate Helpline (1800 265 165) will be available free of charge from 22 August, 
  • School Support: Guidance Counsellors and other members of staff will be available from mid-morning on Results Day and throughout the following week. We are all here to assist you with understanding your results, discussing future education and career options, and providing support.

Leaving Certificate Results

Candidate Self Service Portal: 10 AM Friday 22nd August

Candidates will see their marks including for each component and the post marking adjustment.

12 Noon Tuesday 26th August (CSSP)

Application to View Scripts

LC Online Application Opens:

5 PM, Tuesday 26 August

Closes: 8 PM Wednesday 27 August

The LCA application to view scripts will be via email. The same timeline will apply

Viewing of Scripts

Manually Marked Scripts

Candidates will be assigned to one of two three-hour sessions on Saturday 30 August;

 

Online Marked Scripts*

Online access to view over the 24-hour period;

9 AM Saturday 30 August and 9 AM Sunday 31 August. (CSSP)
