Surfing & Poulnabrone Dolmen
A Day of Adventure: Surfing in Lahinch & Exploring Poulnabrone
Our American exchange students had an unforgettable day on the west coast of Ireland, combining adventure and history in one perfect outing.
The day began with an exhilarating surf session at Lahinch Beach, one of Ireland’s top surfing destinations. Despite the chilly Atlantic waters, the students embraced the waves, guided by experienced instructors. Laughter and excitement filled the air as they mastered their balance and rode the rolling swells.
After drying off and warming up, the group took a scenic drive into the Burren to visit Poulnabrone Dolmen, one of Ireland’s most iconic megalithic tombs. Over 5,000 years old, this ancient portal tomb stands as a testament to Ireland’s rich prehistoric past.
From the thrill of the ocean to the mystery of ancient history, it was a day that truly showcased the beauty and depth of Ireland’s west coast.
